At Samsung, I led a team of twelve industrial designers to create a catalogue of proposals that could be used as reference designs for future production. We produced fourteen different designs in about twelve weeks.
Early in the project, I prepared diagrams like the one below to define requirements for the team. With a large team of designers working on multiple configurations, these were huge time-savers.
To kick off the project, we had a trend safari, with images gathered around the Los Angeles area and annotated during brainstorm meetings.
